*Shipments designated on the shipping documents to arrive in Haifa or Ashdod and arrive to that designated port directly, without being moved by train or truck to the other port– receive 4 days of free storage from arrival at *that* port.
Containers that arrive in Haifa and are sent to Ashdod are permitted 2 days of free storage. Some days of paid storage are typical, though we try to avoid them.
All calendar days count for storage calculations, including Shabbat, Holidays, strikes, wars, floods, etc... Submit documents and make payments on time to avoid any additional source of delay.
Delays at the port or, especially during the summer, over-subscribed trucks and moving teams, are not unusual. Cancelled vessels and sailings are much less common, but they do occur. ALL 3rd party unanticipated charges not specifically included in the original contract are your responsibility.
